ABM Final Reflection |
This year in Advanced Business Management has been amazing! I have loved being a part of a class that constantly worked to make a difference. Big or small, every project students worked on in this class made an impact. I am proud to say I have been a part of it. I personally believe school is important - math, science, language, history... all of these classes teach students important lessons and prepare them for the future. But no class compares to this one. We learned about how to impact people close and far away. We learned about how to raise funds, organize events and programs, and create a final product with the ability to instill change. We learned about what it means to think about others first when coming up with ideas.
This year in ABM, I had a chance to work on projects that centered around my passions. I got to work with students, both with special needs and without. I had a chance to incorporate my strengths in the SMILE program by organizing and planning the schedules. I had a chance to work on my people skills by communicating with people of all ages to develop the Inclusion video and promote the program at Triton and within our school district. Often, I feel like I have too busy of a schedule outside of school to work on these kinds of projects, but ABM gave me a chance to use my school time to serve others through detailed ideas and projects. I would recommend every senior looking for a chance to make a difference to take this class. It's a nice break in the day from the constant new material and studying. ABM gives students a chance to get creative and use their strengths to serve others in unique ways. I'm thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this class, and I would encourage every senior to sign up for Advanced Business Management. Don't waste any time your senior year; take this opportunity to step up and start making a difference! |
